I am in love. I can't help but want to reach out and touch an expecting moms belly. I don't know what it is, but I am drawn to them.  Maybe it's the sense of unity and fellowship I feel, a commonality between mothers and a sense of joy that we are able to nurture these small beings, keeping them safe until it is time to release them to the world.

With the launch of our Belly to Baby program, I introduce a unique twist on basic maternity portraits, focusing on the joy and beauty of your growing belly…beauty that is transferred to exquisite, artistic fine-art maternity portraiture.   We want to show the world how beautiful you really are, at a time when you might be feeling heavy, emotional and anxious.  Please stay tuned to the blog as we are putting the final touches on this special package, which will be launched next week.

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce Elisabeth, a client and model for our Baby to Belly Program. Thank you so much for spending the day with me and allowing me to pretty much do anything I wanted :). You were wonderful!

  • Jana Kunz22 August, 2008 - 02:09

    These are just stunning!

Usually when you think of Norway, you think Santa Claus, cross-country skiing and reindeer. We do, however, have a few months of summer thankyouverymuch and on the day I shot with the most adorable brothers ever, you would have thought we were in the tropics it was so warm.

Robin and Leo are two of the cutest boys who I really enjoyed spending a few hours with. We played, we joked, we laughed, but I think the most fun they had was being allowed to jump on the bed I brought with me. I asked Robin if he was allowed to jump on the bed at home. He said ‘YEP!!!”. Shhhh Robin…you’re supposed to keep some secrets to yourself!! 🙂

Thank you so much Susan and Jan Petter…. I had a blast, especially getting THAT bed into THAT field :).

Oh Lisa these are gorgeous, the children, the locations and the images!!

I LOVE the city. You can go around any corner and there you go. Location location location. Oslo is no different than any other major city. There is beauty where you least expect it and you don’t have to go far to find it.

I had so much fun with Miranda and Cecilia. They were troopers as well. We would walk a bit and all of a sudden I would say STOOOOP!! Oh wow, look at that! We have to do some pictures here! 🙂 I think I wore that out after the 10th time or so, but they were as energetic as most kids their age! We had a blast and since I only have boys, I was in 7th heaven helping pick out clothes for the day.

Thank you so much for inviting me to spend the evening shooting your wonderful girls Jennifer! Safe trip back to Norway!

  • Jennifer N3 August, 2008 - 01:49

Absolutely gorgeous. I love each and every one of them.

There is something about boys. I wanted to be one when I was little, my mom can attest to that. I was forever trying to do everything the boys did and do it better. Dirt..grease…baseball. I wanted to run faster and jump higher. Sure, I had dolls. I liked to cut their hair off LOL. But, something I knew, even way back then, was that I could talk…well, boy. So having two boys just seemed natural to me, and mom’s of boys know that there is just something about the bond between a mother and her son that completes your heart.

So, then I meet Kasper, my latest newborn. A wee, tiny feisty little fella, who definitely was a small challenge but soo incredibly adorable…and fussy…and hungry. Just a new little being in this world who was making sure that the world knew he didn’t like it one little bit!  But Kasper, as all souls before him, has already claimed a special place in his parents hearts, and mine!  Thank you Hilde and Tom Inge for sharing your sweet little prince with me! He was wonderful!

  • Jennifer Nahm27 July, 2008 - 18:11

I love how you captured his little personality so well. He looks so peaceful in the fourth one… and the first one is just adorable.

Ildjernet, Norway. It’s one of the prettiest places I’ve seen lately and it’s only a 20 minute boatride from Oslo. I had the pleasure of shooting probably the most unique set of twins I’ve ever met. Fiona and London are two beautiful young girls who couldn’t be any different from each other if they had been born on different birthdays. One a chatterbox, the other quiet and reserved, they were such a joy to photograph and get to know through my day spent on the island.

These two little beauties were so photogenic and were willing to do pretty much everything I asked! They were total troopers as well.  I mean, even professional models get tired after a long day of shooting!

Thank you so much for inviting me into your home and allowing me to spend some time with your wonderful grandchildren Dolores! I hope they had a safe journey back to the US!

I hope you really enjoy these as much as I did!
