"ever are the children."

Earthday. The environment. Global warming, erratic weather, overfishing…. It seems that the environment has been a hot topic for the last 20 years. But now that I have children, the fate of our planet takes on an even greater meaning. What can I do today so that my children have this wonderful place of beauty to enjoy when they are grown? Or most importantly, what can YOU do?

I believe the fate of the world rests in the hands of our children. Teach them to be proud of their planet.

I can’t believe no one has commented, this is a beautiful shot!

A few weeks ago, I was approached to do a segment on Migrapolis. This was on a Monday, we had the interview on Tuesday and started filming Wednesday and Thursday. Tidsklemme (time constraints) HAHAHA!!

Well, the segment aired last night and we are VERY happy with how it turned out. Apart from me needing to lose ..ermm..baby weight..yeeeeaaah BABY WEIGHT, I thought we portrayed the family who made changes in their lives to spend more time together rather well.

I am not allowed to embed the clip into my blog, so here is the link Look Mom- I’m on TV! and I’ve translated our portion here What, you can’t understand Norwegian?

Enjoy!! (oh and YES, my boys are always THAT active!).

Because I get to take pictures like this –

squishy baby love

and this –

Sisters RULE

I had so much fun today. I spent the day with Ovidia (4) and Theodor (2 weeks).   Ovidia is a photographer’s dream.  Beautiful, great taste in clothes and furniture, and sooo much fun to chat to.   Theodor was a champion.   He let me do pretty much anything and slept almost the whole time while doing it. YAY!

Tusen takk Lena og Kalle, dere har fantastiske barn!

    Wow Lisa…
    Love it.

It’s official and it’s for real! My family and I are going to be on one of the largest tv networks in Norway! NRK is one of the main network stations in Norway with lots of exciting programs. The program we will be on is about families and stress due to time constraints. We will be representing the family who decided to do something about it and made a change in our lives in order for us to spend more time together.

The program is called Migrapolis and as soon as we know when it will air, I will pass along the info! It is completely in Norwegian, but I hope to have it up on youtube, with subtitles shortly after airing.  We are excited beyond description, but a little nervous opening up in front population Norway :).  But you know, we were just…well..US (which, I’m sure for many, would make HOURS of wonderful viewing time. Where else can you get hours of laughter just talking about bodily functions? Boys you know..glad I have all 3 of them!).

Anyway, thanks so much for all the moral support. This could definately help get my business out there, but to be honest, we are just really blessed to have the opportunity to spend more time together. Now THIS is what dreams are made of!

What a wonderful way to spend a Saturday!  I had the pleasure of shooting  Nischa, Kim and Melody yesterday and it truly made me feel a pang that I have all boys!

Nischa is an adorable 4 month old who smiles ALOT. She was so cuddly and cute and while we may not have gotten those sleeping baby pics, we got more than enough happy baby one’s to make me smile!

Melody is one of the cutest 3 year olds I’ve ever seen. It was a rocky start! She was VERY unsure about me and the camera and just a bit shy. But, well, you know me. I love kids and I LOVE a challenge.   After some warming up time and a little horse action we were good friends!

Kim is 8 and an up and coming diva. 🙂 She can dance, she can sing, she can pick out a ROCKIN’ outfit and she can pose. What more could a photographer ask for? We’ll be seeing her again in the future I’m sure!

Thank you so much Ki, Nataya and Witsanu for letting me come into your mother’s home!

L (as always, remember that colors can look different from monitor to monitor!)
